Natural Children’s Clothes

Justine was inspired to begin making natural clothing following the birth of her daughter 10 years ago and since then her brand, Eko Peko, has gone from strength to strength. Originally from Western Australia she now makes her home in St Kilda, an area of Melbourne known for it’s eco-aware inhabitants and family-friendly vibe. She perfectly encapsulates our ethos here at All of the Beautiful Things, in providing eye-catching products that will not only last for years but that also minimize the impact of production on the environment. The materials that she uses are breathable to help with thermoregulation, hypoallergenic to help protect sensitive skin and of course, wonderfully soft to increase the snuggle factor. She uses is locally produced merino wool from a family run firm in Melbourne and being naturally fire-retardant this high-quality yarn does not require any additional chemicals. The cotton used in her products is 100% organic, grown in India and manufactured in Australia. This limits the environmental impact of her products by avoiding the heavy use of pesticides seen in non-organic cotton production and supports local manufactures in Australia who are often overlooked in favour of cheaper factories who often use harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde during their textile production. In addition, all of her floor pillows are filled with recycled PET fibers produced from plastic water bottles meaning that each pillow purchased saves between 140 and 200 bottles form ending up as landfill. In Eko Peko Justine has created a brand that genuinely cares for babies and their future. Not only do her products keep babies healthy and comfortable, not to mention looking very snazzy, but they also help to safe guard the environment that they will inherit as well as contributing to a fairer, more sustainable textile industry which in no small way makes the world a better place
